Apple Tart with Pork Rind Crust

Apple Tart with Pork Rind Crust - Southern Recipe Small Batch

Ingredients


• 2 cups Southern Recipe Small Batch Cranberry Jalapeño pork rinds or Apple Cinnamon pork rinds, finely crushed

• 1 cup Almond flour, blanched

• 1/4 cup Flaxseed, ground

• 2 Eggs

• 1 can Apple pie filling



Directions


1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease a tart pan.

2. In a bowl, combine pork rinds, almond flour, flaxseed, and eggs. Mix until dough forms, using hands if needed.

3. Press half of dough evenly into prepared tart pan.

4. Place parchment paper over dough. Add baking weights or ceramic beans. Bake 12-15 minutes.

5. Remove and let cool.

6. Warm apple pie filling and spoon into tart shell.
