Pork Rind Fried Green Tomatoes


  • 2 cups Southern Recipe Small Batch pork rinds, finely crushed

  • ¼ cup butter or vegetable oil

  • 3 green tomatoes

  • ¾ cup milk

  • ¾ cup flour

  • 2 eggs, whisked

  • Your favorite relish or salsa to top


  1. Place milk, flour, crushed pork rinds, and eggs in separate dishes.

  2. Cut the green tomatoes in to thick slices (about ½ inch thick). Dip each tomato slice into the milk, then flour, then egg, and finally in the crushed pork rinds.

  3. Fry each tomato in the butter or oil for about 3-4 minutes per side over medium high heat. Drain any excess oil on a paper towel. Enjoy!
